Hey Guys...Mike here (KBMWRS).

I've been thinking that the KOG T-shirt as it is now is too specific on its sleeve in relation to our BRICKS. It seems we are excluding the 100s and the 1200s.
Now I have "K1100 Flying Brick" printed on the sleeve.

Would you all think it okay to just have "K Flying Brick" instead?
and Also change the KOG logo to just state K Owners Group?

So lets hear from you all......make the change?

I guess I'll be the 1st to add my .02c..........

Personally I have no qualms with your suggested changes, BUT..........

From the home page:

"Welcome to the K1100 Owners Group home page! This site is dedicated to BMW's K11-series of motorcycles, the K1100RS and K1100LT."

I understand where your suggestions come from, as there are members with 75's, 100's and a few 1200's and there is a fair amount of technology that is used equally across many of the models.

Hey Mike,

As odd as it may sound coming from me- a K100RS rider, it never really bothered me. But others, including some K75 folk might feel differently.

Either way- thanks for the work!

John

Scott I fully understand what you are saying and that's why i posed the question. But as you also note there is much commonality among the models and I just thought of being more inclusive.

I'd like to hear from more folks.

I vote nope. I also love the K100 and K75 (not quite sold on the K12) and agree there are many commonalities and mutual owners on here. There are, however, plenty of great general K-Bike sites but only one K11OG.

Can you make one design inclusive and one not? See what you sell. Then make up your mind on future designs.

Having had all of them at one time, you are right. Mecahnically,. The BRICK can be attached to any of the other appendages with little modification. However, the spirit of K11og is to promote the k1100. As a mechanic, there is a lot of value in mixing with the other Brick types though. And thus, K11og has been a mixing ground of K-bikes as long as ive been hanging around! And a lot of us are here regardless of owning an actual K1100.

I dont think K11og should change its mission or name, or give amnesty to those of us who dont curently ride an actual k1100 by becoming something else. But, having a general 'Flying Brick' on the sleve and Keeping 'K11OG' shouldnt diminish from the spirit of k11og.
If anything, there are fewer and fewer K1100 out there, which is a loosing battle for an only inclusive 'k1100' owners group. And hard to sell T-shirts every year!

Mike, ultimately, since your the t-shirt man. Its up to you! A general KOG and Flying Brick logs would be more widely marketable.

My $00.02.....

So.....

Although we are Flying Bricks, we are K11 Owners Group and I submit that this is what needs to be maintained.

No changes to the shirt. Cool
