What is the difference, is there between a K1100RS and a K1100LT
gas tank. I found a tank cover "made in France" and was told it only
fits the LT.

Now when you say "tank cover" are you referring to one of these:
Item #1.
It looks like that is a filler for a low seat option. This is not shown as an option for the 1100RS.
It might have more to do with the side covers being different on the RS, but I've not seen a "low seat" version so I can't really say. _________________ Ride safe.

I guess I was un-clear. I am talking about a bra or a form fitting
cover. I have the aluminium gas tank on my K1100rs. |

Ok, now I understand....
The physical fuel tank on the 1100's are the same between the RS and LT.
The only differences that I'm aware of are the side covers that mount below the tank, and the fairing knee panels along the tank sides. _________________ Ride safe.

Like bobdcamp, I'm asking to you Gurus if there is any difference from the fuel tank of the K1100LT before and after 1994.
I've found (I think on the same french manifacturer's site) a tank cover for my K1100LT, but the site reports that the cover is only for >1994 models.
A brief search in the forum and in the web hasn't given me a reply, thanks for your attention. _________________ Antonio e Agnese

The change from -94 year model was made on the bottom plate and internals of the tank.
Don't understand how this is affecting fitting of the tank cover. |
