|

Hi All
I'm hoping somebody can shed some light ...
The fuel and temperature gauges always worked fine until a couple of weeks ago.
Then one morning I went to start it but it struggled to turn over - flat battery like symptoms - except the battery *wasn't* flat. I switched off and back on, pressed the starter and hey presto, off it went.
Except since then, neither the fuel nor temperature gauges work.
I've checked all the fuses but none blown. I've tried cleaning the plugs where they plug onto the gauge but no difference. I've tried tapping the glass like a World War II pilot nuh uhh.
Any ideas would be gratefully accepted
Thanks in advance

Welcome! They have a common connector (4 pin) which you find at the right side under the tank, check this connector.
Also separate the connector and check that power (green/black wire) and ground (brown wire) is present at the main harness side. |

Many thanks - I will take a look for this connector tomorrow when I have some time.
Do I need to remove the fuel tank or can I access just by removing the trim/storage buckets on the right hand side?
Best regards

You must remove the tank to get access to this connector. |
