I had a brake fluid leak last JUne which landed onto my final drive box of my KLT and whilst it has not made the paintwork blister it has left a noticeable stain on the silver coating. I had not noticed it until now.
Does anyone know of a way to remove this without damaging the painted surface.

I have a similar problem - grass stain on my rear drive which is powder coated silver. Maybe the same solution might work for both issues?

Have you tried white rubbing compound? Go easy on it and see if it will get the stain off. Start with a clean cloth and a little compound and using finger pressure go easy on it.
