Original owner but no title? Weird. If you're the original owner then you should be able to easily get a replacement title from the state. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Not only BS but with only 6K miles in 24 years, the owner (if it really is the owner and this isn't a scam) should be brought up on felony charges for bike neglect.
That comes to 250 miles/year. Most of us have done that in one morning. I have done that just going to get some good pizza! _________________ John & Cathy

Got a reply from the seller...
I bought the bike new from Engle Motors in Kansas City when I lived in Illinois. Went through a divorce, moved to Missouri for awhile. Rode the bike, it was plated. Had a low side on an off ramp when front tucked from radiator fluid spill from car in front of me. The lower left cowling needs repair. The middle left fairing will need repair. I’ll try taking some clearer pics if still interested. I may take it to Gateway BMW or Flying Tigers to make room. I have another K bike that I ride but may sell/trade in. The color is black with silver.
When I tried renewing the plate, Illinois had no record. Same for Missouri. So I contacted Engle and they couldn’t help me. Norm, the original salesmen has passed. So if a builder or someone with another frame wants k-bike w less than 6K miles, I’d like to move it. I changed the oil in it & rose it last year. I have the k bike oil filter change tool & a Clymer manual for the bike. Bike has a center stand. Thanks for the inquiry.
No explanation as to why only 6k miles, but it looks like he's selling it for parts. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

Still doesn't make sense.... if a state issues a plate, they will have records... _________________ Ride safe.

Actually, that is not always the case. Sometimes they purge records of plates that have not been renewed in a long time. That happened to me with a trailer. But titles do not expire so with the VIN # they should be able to request a dup. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

I don't know the exact details since I've never done one but in WA state you can get a vehicle title if you go through some process, pay some fees and wait three years. I guess they figure any claims for a stolen vehicle, liens or whatever would arise in that period of time. In the interim I believe they give you some sort of temporary title so that you can get it plated and operate it legally. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I smell a rat... The state the bike was last registered in should be able to provide a title.
Way low mileage, and a high price for a bike with no title... _________________ Jim
