I changed oil a while ago with forks in position.
How do you keep oil from getting on things it shouldn't?? _________________ 1994 K1100 LTSE + Blackbird |

Aluminum foil, wrap it around the tube and make a channel that will flow to a drain pan. Put a second piece on top to keep it from squirting straight out. If you lock the bake and pump the forks it forces oil out under pressure. _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

Don't forget - one side takes less than the other side when you refill.
They only take the same amount when you pull them apart for a rebuild. _________________ Jim

I put foil on the bottoms of the rotor and tire. I hold the drain receptacle up near the drain hole to catch the initial squirting before it declines to dripping. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Yea, was afraid this would be the answer.
Same as I did, very messy.
I know about different volumes.
