Have any of you ever replaced the rubber bush supports of the frame?

I have bought a k100 with 122k km and I have no idea if they are still the originals, I don't know how to test if they need to be replaced and I can't test the bike on the road because it's all disassembled ....
any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

I have a 1992 K100RS with 135,000 km and I think that the part you are referring to has not been replaced on my K.
I bought it used with 35,000 km so I doubt it. Actually I should also look since it really never occurred to me to check it. _________________ John & Cathy

That is hard to say, one way or the other. Where we live the roads are very rough due to frost heaves and deterioration.
I will have to pay more attention when I ride on some smoother roads.
Winter has arrived here so no riding for a few months, but perhaps I will place the bike on the lift table and take a look at those bushings. _________________ John & Cathy

I bought the bike with 122k km I drove it myself to home on the highway for 170 km but I didn't notice anything strange...
I don't know what to do because so cheap they are not costing € 90 the pair.... _________________ BMW K100 RS 16v 90´ |

The roads in UK are rough because of lack of maintenance and over use. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Come visit Seattle. The city council would much rather spend money trying to promote heroin addicted homeless people camping out under freeway overpasses and in city parks leaving used needles all over the place than fixing potholes.
Yes, they actually do this. They effectively promote heroin addiction but at the same time fine you if you light up a cigarette within 25 feet of a doorway. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I don't anymore. After living there for 55 years I moved to the Olympic Peninsula back in 2014. I'm glad I left. It used to be a great place to live. Now it's ruled by communists, Antifa, BLM and homeless heroin addicts.
Here's where I live now. Good riding on US 101 along the water right outside my door.

Port Ludlow is about 35 miles to the north. My family has a cabin on the water that's north of Port Ludlow. I used to take my boat to go golfing at Port Ludlow while my crab pots sat and collected fresh Dungeness crab for dinner. I can't remember his name and don't know if he still lives there but there used to be a K75 owner who lived at PL.
One time on the way back to Seattle in my boat there was a boomer from Bangor surfaced and just sitting still near the entrance to Port Ludlow. Pretty cool as usually the only time I see them is when they open the Hood Canal Bridge for them when they're going out to sea.
Did you know of the Naval ordnance base on Indian island? Our cabin is across a small harbor from Indian Island. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Nope. But the first syllable of the name is KIL - Kilisut Harbor. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Interesting... It used to be a smuggler's hideout. And it also used to be called Long Bay before it was named Kilisut, but I cannot find the source of the current name. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

I have an old book on the area's history which probably has the answer but I loaned it to a Port Townsend K100RS riding buddy who hasn't bothered to return it yet. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hire a big female librarian to show up at his home with a switch, an overdue book slip, and a stern look on her face. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.
