Man that was a BLAST!
Just back myself, cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this (even though I was on 4 wheels ... )
The hat is now proudly sitting on the "motorcycle shelf" above my desk in my office, here are some pics, more after a long nap:

Yea Johnny, the lack of your tempting carnivorous delicacies was greatly missed. But we did have decent Mexican and a "Tuscan" lunch that was pretty good. We won’t mention the Little Ceaser’s, although it hit the spot.
Here are the best pictures I have, which doesn't do any justice to the scenery or the roads. I was too busy concentrating on not running into or off other side of some insane mountain twisty. My first time in them, let me say. Wow. I think I gained about two years of riding experience in those 900 miles, 100 of which (in the middle) had my butt puckering the whole time.
Then the K-wisdom absorbed by listening to you guys talk was enlightening to say the least. I really just stumbled into the K-bike realm by chance, and everyday I'm more glad I did.
And I also have to add that meeting Shoganai was a real treat, wow, I can only admire in humble respect of her fortitude, ability and flat out toughness. All of us were astounded that she stuck around to meet everyone and rode with us a bit and then left to continue her trip further south after the unfortunate road exit and possible broken clavical! I would have been on the phone trying to figure out a ride home for me and my bike. Wow, I am in awe...
Thanks to Boot and Abreeze for making the arrangements, if any additional funds are needed, please let me know.
And a big thanks to Ted, the "reason for the season", the original Founding Father of K11OG. What else can I say.... I need Ohlins...
Some sweet ass!

I landed in Pioria, IL for the night after 700+ and rain for the first 150 off and on.
like Steve, those mountian twistie's are something new for me that I don't have back home. We most definately need to do this again. Hopefully more central so we can get the guy's there from the west.
More later.
Ride Safe.

Great meeting everyone who could make it.
The highlight for me was playing chase with Rydor for 100 miles or so through Virgina. It reminded me of the RUSH song 'Red Barchetta'.....And having spent so much time on both K100's and K1100's, a head to head was as exciting as I have imagined.
I left in the downpour at 930ish, It rained 60% of the time for the 400 miles home. Made it to the front door by 730pm.....long day to go 400 miles. But a great trip....more to come... |

Really. And the one in the pic was relegated to the back? What is this? LT discrimination? _________________ M N B

Naww, just the oldest to newest. I do believe that Abreeze had the oldest bike there.
How is that saying go "age before beauty!!"
