|
|
Drake, I'm hoping your may have or know someone else who knows the part numbers for the old police hard city bags. I'm trying to track down a set of the smooth lid city cases and am running out of resources. I want to obtain a new set, because I'll be modifying the Sprint with brackets that will accept the city bags. I have come to hate soft luggage simply because they don't hold their shape and the OEM bags that came on the ST make the bike as wide as a Goldwing.....not real practical (and I really just don't care for GIVI or Harpers or any of the other hard bag mfgs).....although I had thought of those tough looking smaller strap type bags they have for the K12/13S, except their expander bags so that was dropped from my list of choices.
What I need is the smaller older city bags, like the ones in this picture of my old KRS (except the lids on these are painted).
So hopefully Duck either you've got the part numbers for the smooth lid city bags or someone else does......I HOPE, I HOPE, I HOPE! _________________ REDBRICK, '96RS (formerly owned), K11OG#5

That indicates they are no longer available but that's not reliable.
Since you're not in a hurry I'd order them from Chicago BMW and save $100. (They still give you the 20% discount but it doesn't show up until you get the email that they've charged your credit card.) _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hey, Allen:
I bought some black ones a couple of years ago. IIRC they didn't sell sets anymore so I ordered a right and a left. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Sounds like all I'll need is the lock cylinders cause I'll be sticking Triumph roundels where BMW usually goes....
Thanks again....I think their going to look great on my ST, especially in black. Come to think of it.....the black lids are the rough or pebbled finish and the white ones have the smooth finish, which is what I'm hoping to get my hands on....so I'll have to paint them. _________________ REDBRICK, '96RS (formerly owned), K11OG#5
