Hi guys for some reason I'm now stuck with one of these, 92 K1100LT 282 000kms not miles needs work or I may even wreck it .
At the moment it needs fork seals water pump/ oil pump kit ,I have the bags and topbox., only bought it as it was cheap.
So now I can wear the T shirt I got at Hungry mothers .

Darryl,
Couldn't keep a K bike out of your garage, eh?
Always wanted one, right?
Good luck with it.
John
By the way, liked the Australia trip pictures you sent. Is that your Transalp? _________________ John & Cathy

Good work and a great looking trip. Wish I was there.

Aren't those spark plug caps fun to remove Looking at the pictures, I will bet that the wires haven't been off the plugs in YEARS.
There is this guy in Auckland that would probably be happy to help with your K bike. _________________ John & Cathy

Well guy's he made it as far as my place on it and then it went on the trailer for the rest of the journey I'm not sure that he's ready for a big powerful bike like this as only being use to 2 cylinders.
And as for the guy in Auckland John, giving him hand with it, he couldn't afford his rates _________________ Paul & Gill

Aw come on Paul, you don't have enough projects another near basket case is just what you need to keep busy.
Besides, I bet you could almost take a brick apart blindfolded, eh?
Remind Darryl that his "new" BMW has this strange fluid in it called coolant
By the way, how about the "Pocket Rocket's" first Superbike race weekend on the BMW? Nice results. Good old Ron's boy is going to take BMW's first WSBK win sooner or later. _________________ John & Cathy

Hi guys
Well Paul has helped me but only to move it out of his garage so far.
I have pulled the bike apart, cleaned it heaps. New oil in diff, gearbox and engine, new water in radiater ,new rear brake line on rear as it popped while I was bleeding the brake, new plugs and air filter, new fork seals fixed up some shitty wiring and then put bike back together . Now that took a bit to remember where everything went.
Test rode it today goes pretty good for a K, took it out for another test on Monday, all ok.
Just ordered some more parts from Motor works in the UK pannier latch, seat lock Bobpin kit for front disc and a few other miner parts .
Bikes starting to look good now . Later I'll start tidying up the frame and shock
