Right, I've bled the front brakes but they are still spongy. The brake fluid is new and the hoses are in good condition. The brakes will 'pump up' if the lever is pulled a few (3 or 4) times. Am I missing something or would the ABS system need bleeding as well?
If so, how do you do it? Looked everywhere and only found info for ABS 2.
Any and all help appreciated.
PS I have bled the brakes on a K11LT before without problems so I know I can do it and the time it can take. _________________ '93 K1100LTSE, ABS1 in Black 'Connie' |

Had the same problem the 1st time I bleed my K1100 as well. If you can get access to a pump thats the best way to bleed them. There are fittings on the calipers as well as the ABS pumps. When you try to bleed them by hand you will get air in the system. The pump is the only way that works for me anyway. Good Luck..... _________________ Jim Benge, San Diego, CA.

You need to bleed the ABS "bottles" first, then the calipers. _________________ I am not a number, I am a free man.
