Any personal experiences/suggestions regarding motorcycle lifts?

I'm currently looking at a Auto Lift AL-1000M lift

We've been doing quite well with the low-end HF lift at around $300 (if you clip coupons). We use it for a K1200LT, a R1150 RT, the K11LTs and the K75 RT. The only thing it lacks is the side panels that would facilitate riding the bike solo onto the lift, but two of us get all of these bikes up and off with no problem.
