And I plan to be there (even if I have to drive) AND will be prepared to cook spaghetti again. If you blink, though, you might miss me. I'm down to 168 lb (12 stone, 76kg) from around 250 lb (about 18 stone, 114 kg). Jim, how many should I expect to cook for?

I need to lose weight - but not like that!

Phil - so far there are 13 - a few more might try to make it - I'll update the top post if anything changes.

Anxious to head down to Marion, although to have Cathy come along we need to trailer down and back (lack of time to ride)

But she asked a similar question- are we bringing the K bike or the (new to me) Boxer Cup?
I wrestled with that one but I replied......It's a KOG weekend. K bike, of course.

Question for the planners of this upcoming event.........

As I posted above, we will be on 4 wheels until we get to HM.

Is there anything that we can bring along, since we have the room in Cathy's Subaru?

Like- Food? Liquid refreshment? Tools Rolling Eyes ? EZ-up? Propane bottle?

We are open to suggestions or requests (just not a suitcase of $10s & $20s unless you supply it)

Of course once we are at HM we can use the car as a grocery getter.

Lemme' know.

Just putting a feeler out there, the Lodge is full, but cabin No #1 is still available. It's a short hop away from the main lodge.

It only has one double bed and two single beds in another bedroom, sleeps 3 realistically, maybe 4 if two were a couple.

It would be about $300 for the three nights, a $100 per person for three to stay there.

If I could could get at least one firm commit, I'd be willing to reserve it (I'm a Va resident).

Anybody interested? or anybody not going to make the Lodge?

It appears that I will be able to take the time now, if there are no objections from the rest of the group I would like to have the kids come too. Well, they really aren't kids anymore. But they ride a Kaw and a Nightster and my friend rides an R1100R, he just doesn't know any better. They is no danger of contamination, I've riden with him for about 10 years and my K remains uninfected. If this is OK, Let me know what the cost and details are and how I should send the $. I will be home by Wednesday or Thursday and can do Paypal, Check, or Plastic.

Hi Lee, I'm not sure if your post is addressed to me...but the Main lodge is all filled up and the only nearby cabin that is available only has a double bed in one room and two singles in another, so it really only sleeps three, four if there was a couple who wanted the double bed. Not sure how your kids feel about sleeping together...

Hey Steve,
Sorry that I Did not properly direct my first reply, but yes it was meant for you. I'm sending this from my phone, and while I think this ability is great, it is not like having a full screen and keyboard. Getting a signal on this side of the world is challenging also. I'll be back in the Florida mid to end week so all will be normal then. The sleeping arrangements would be good, I they are a couple, in late 20s. He rides a Kaw and she rides the Nightster. Not old enough yet to have learned the value of a BMW.

Lee,

Our 24 y.o. daughter, Jen, might be coming with us. She was at HM last year with me. Not real sure about this year but a possibility.

She rides a Kaw ZX6R.

See you there.

John

Got it Lee, I'll go ahead and reserve that cabin and let you know that it's set up.

You can send funds once you've returned, looking forward to it!

Well..., due to a slight misunderstanding between Lee and me, I have a cabin reserved and two quality, premium single beds available for the HMV weekend.

Lee had four people coming, and the cabin really only sleeps four, which wouldn't leave room for me!

So, just to recap and put the word out there:

I have reserved Cabin #1 for the dates of 5/3,5/4 & 5/5, check out on Sunday the 6th. These are the same dates the others will be in the Main Lodge. This is the closest cabin to the main lodge, but it's still probably a little hike from it.

This Cabin only has a Double Bed in one room and Two Single beds in another room. I'm claiming the Double Bed (unless a couple wants to buy me out) and I'm making the two single beds available to the first to send me a PM and then send me funds. Cost would be $100 per bed for all three nights ($33 a night!).

So for anyone looking for a bed at a reasonable price for HMV, give me a PM!

(Edit, one bed spoken for, one left....)
