Hi, Friends,
If this is boring or uninteresting, I'm sorry. I just have so many friends in K11OG that it's time-consuming and expensive to call each one with what's happening. So here goes.
I'm in Dallas (actually Arlington) with my daughter, and it looks like I'll be here for some time. I've seen surgeon, oncologist and cardiologist, been poked, prodded, scanned, and the vampires have been at work on my veins.
The cancer is at the junction of the esophagus and the stomach. On Tuesday I go for surgery to install a feeding tube and a port. A week later I expect to start chemotherapy for 9 weeks, then a short break, then surgery to remove the cancer, then more chemotherapy. The oncologist said it should (?) be over around the beginning of December.
Thank you all for your support. I cherish it! As for the future, I expect to be at HM V next May. I've already sent my check, so I have a bunk. I may plead old age, if I'm late, and ask that a bottom bunk be saved for me. I also may be in 4 wheels instead of 2, but I PLAN TO BE THERE!!! _________________ Ride Safe,

Don't ever say this again....we are all eagerly (but know how chaotic your schedule must be atm) awaiting updates from you, Phil...and I look forward to sharing another meal with you while listening to your stories and eating that magical Spaghetti.
Do you have esophageal or stomach cancer?
What you are getting done....the port and G/peg/J-tube...the aftercare, the teaching, the administration of the chemo....that's what I do for a living every day. (IV Home care RN) If you have ANY questions at all you have my number.....even if it's to say, "FOTG!"
Stay strong, buddy. You have a ton of good people praying for you. Even Drake. And maybe Jo. Ok not Jo most likely. But a LOT of people.

You tell him Dave.
Phil,
The OG is very interested in how you are. As the big guy said, we are all pulling for you.
Don't hesitate to post here- easiest way to let us all know how you are beating this crap.
Positive thoughts from Sugar Hill.

Phil I think I can pretty much guarantee you'll get a bottom bunk -- and if you like, you have free reign over the mighty K75RT
Glad to hear there is forward momentum and you are on the path to beating this SOB! _________________
