OK I'm just thinking about it.
1. I'm not riding as much as I used to
2. I'm riding bicycles and horses a lot more
3. My wife really doesn't like to ride with me
Just putting out feelers to see if any of you are thinking you might like a mystic red LT with 37,000 miles on it. Pretty much all stock except for headlamp protector, stainless fastener kit and tank bag. Not flawless by a long shot but in great mechanical shape. Haven't really thought about price but would be willing to deliver it to someplace interesting. _________________ Jim

So I've thought about it and I am going to sell so I thought I should post some pictures and talk about money. I would like to get $3500 for this bike.
No Craigslist ad until I'm sure there's no interest here. _________________ Jim

You're pricing it too low for a clean LT with only 37K miles. You should be able to get at least $4K on a CL ad. Just write a good ad and embed some full size pics like the ones you have here. When I bought my ST1300 recently I put an ad on my 95 LT at $4500 and had strong interest to look/buy until I came to my senses, realized it was a better bike than the ST and called it off. _________________ 2012 R1200RT Midnight Blue

I'll wait a while and see if anyone here is interested. I'm not in any hurry to sell. _________________ Jim

Hi, Jim,
I would be interested, but with what else is going on (with me), it would not make sense to buy another bike now. And besides, I couldn't go get it! Maybe when I come through this AND if the bike is still available AND if I have any money left, we can talk. _________________ Ride Safe,

Buy it Phil and at the next Hungree Dungee I could steal it from you and instantly lose 50K miles. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Shameless bump but I've had some responses to a CL ad. One guy said it improved his response to the ad that he also found it on this forum. Said he would be more likely to buy from someone who participated in this type of forum. Just thought you'd like to know. _________________ Jim

The bike is now under deposit to a member of this forum. I wanted to share the inspection report that was done at the buyer's quest and expense at Chris's Affordable Beemer Repair in Manchester NH. I can't imagine a more effective selling tool, particularly in the situation where you often generate interest in a sale from a longer distance away. It would be worth riding quite a way to get a thorough and objective report like this:

Well, good to hear Jim.
BTW, Chris is an.....interesting guy, eh? But he really does know his older BMWs and a nice little shop he's got there. _________________ John & Cathy

Sold to a forum member. Hopefully he will announce his new ride here. I will continue to monitor the forum from time to time and chime in occasionally. I will also continue to handle sticker sales unless and until someone else volunteers to do so. _________________ Jim

Hi, All,
I wish to announce, here and now, that I am NOT the forum member who purchased the bike. I would have liked to, but while undergoing chemo and the uncertainty of the future, I didn't think it wise to buy the bike. Besides, I still have 2 K75's!
Jim, along with chiming in occasionally and handling sticker sales, I hope you'll continue to sell your EXCELLENT maple syrup. Being diabetic, I wish I could have dared eat more than a couple of bites of blueberry pancakes with your syrup at Hungry Dungee in 2009. It was GOOD! My daughter likes maple syrup, so maybe I can buy her some as a Christmas present. If you still have any in stock, how can I obtain some genuine Tamarack Farm Maple Syrup? _________________ Ride Safe,

Congrats Jim, although we're sorry to see you go, I'm sure the actual "biking" will do more for you in the long run.
Thanks for the stickers.

We ship syrup all over the country and occasionally outside it. Email me if you'd like some and visit our website at tamfarm.com. _________________ Jim

Hi All
I've successfully taken delivery of the LT from Jim last week. Both Jim and Chris Harris, from Affordable Beemer were great to deal with and a great help in getting the bike ready. As Jim mentioned, Chris did a pre-buy for me, which really eased my mind about buying it sight unseen. Jim and Chris also arranged for Chris to pick it up and move it to the shop for some minor repairs and maintenance, so that all I had to do was pay for it and ride away! The smug mug gallery that Chris created for the prebuy and the work completed is here:
http://affordable-beemers.smugmug.com/Business/16-Valve-K100K1100-models/1995-K1100LTArnold/18725406_zr7Lqw#1448702658_Xqwfwt6
The bike performed flawlessly as I moved it to a friends garage in Ohio. Longer term plan is to ride to the west coast next spring. Thanks Jim and Chris and see you on the forums! _________________ Larry
