| Ive just aquired a 96 k1100lt thats been stood for 8 years the engine turns over on button but will not start i have 12 volts at the coils but no spark at plugs so any ideas what could be wrong would be appriecated |

Welcome to K11! There are a number of things to check. Are you trying it with the bike in neutral?
First things to check are the sidestand (it has to be up), sidestand switch and the kill switch - they get corroded. After that, start checking electrical connections. Do you hear the pump whine when you turn the key? _________________ Jim

Hi Jim
Ive shorted the sidestand switch out and tried the kill switch and they seem ok as for the fuel pump i will have to refit the tank and try it out |
