I had my bellypan resprayed by a proffesional paintsprayer and initially it looked gorgeous, I thought he had done a fabulous job but.......4 weeks or so later these strange lines, no not lines, gouge like marks appeared, I took it back to him and I think he fobbed me off saying it looks like it had been previously repaired and these lines are where the cracks were!! on the inside I can see no sign of any such repair. Has anyone seen anything like this? It looks to me like the paint is to thick and it's moved! Any ideas anyone?

Even if it had been repaired why would the paint crack there?! Take it to another pro and get his opinion. Then I would go back and have it fixed. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Good morning "..pfc"....
Judging by the "orange peel" it looks like the first coats had not sufficient time to 'dry' and the solvent beneath trying to get through caused the final heavy coat ( too heavy in my opinion ) began to slide ... It will be interesting to hear what a second opinion from a pro has to say ! Frustrating when you pay to have good work done and end up with a 'hack' job.
Best regards and good luck........// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

Difficult to be certain by looking at the pictures but it looks like poor prepartion, including noy letting the inital coats dry sufficiently. The final top coats seem to have been applied very thickly, and having now "cured" have revealed the poorly prepared base ? _________________ 1993(94 MODEL) K1100RS IN ASTRAL BLUE
