I was looking thru some old pics and I was shocked at how much weight you have lost.
You look good all slim and trim but I'll bet you wouldn't recommend the program.
It was REAL good to see you again.
(That's helmet hair I'm wearing)
You have been heavy on my mind for a couple of days.
Prayers and hugs,

OK, Guys - here goes,
I went in to the infusion place today to have my pump refilled. I weighed myself (fully clothed) on the office scale and weighed 197 lb. The pictures (except the one of me and Gwen only) show me at around 250 lb. I've been between 193 and 197 for the past 3 weeks, so I think that the weight loss has stopped, at least temporarily. I can now eat more than I could when I started the chemo, so something is happening. Hopefully it is the tumor is shrinking, which is one of the reasons for the chemo.
I have now been on chemo for 5 weeks. I have 4 weeks to go, then a 3 week gap, then the surgery to remove the tumor. After I recover from the surgery, depending on pathology and what the surgeon finds, there may be more chemo. Or not.
I would guess the surgery will be the middle of October. Your collective thoughts and prayers will be especially appreciated around that time! And if anyone wants to waste 44 cents and send a card, my daughter's address is: 6518 Electra Dr., Arlington, TX 76001.
I treasure the time I have spent with many of you, starting in 2003 with the Western meeting in Taos, NM, then HM!!, !!! and !V, Hungry Dungee II, and Hungry LobsterI and II. When I get through this, I plan to see you all again. And you in Europe, be forewarned. I lived and worked there twice in my life (Ireland and Spain) and, if any of you have the time to show an Olde Fart around, I might visit YOU some day. _________________ Ride Safe,

Hola, Gui,
Obregado. In all my travels, I have never been south of the equator. I would VERY MUCH like to visit Brazil, especially since I would have a guide who knows where ALL the good restaurants are! _________________ Ride Safe,
