Sad Sad Sad Sad

Hello all...

Well I'm back in NH after three weeks on the "K" off to extreme south west Virginia and Kentucky. Bike ran better than great in both rain and shine. Total oil usage for the 3400 miles 'down/around/back' was appx 1/4 cup (USA measure) Mobil 1,, 50W... average gasoline usage was 46/47 mpg.

When I returned I read a note on my "Airhead Forum" re a 'lost/found' K-bike hard bag. Note Follows:

""PATRICK M MCFARLAND pmcfarland@atlanticbb.net via micapeak.com to airheads
show details Oct 8 (3 days ago)

Today around 930 am on Pa route 660 about 2 miles from
parking lot of Grand Canyon overlook a K bike bag was
found. I passed, what i think was the rider about 2 miles
east of where the bag was found. it was a grey and burnt
yellow k bike he was headed away from the canyon overlook
and i was headed to the overlook. i talked to the person
who picked the bag up and i have his cell phone number, he
said he was going to turn into Tioga County visitor center
which is a mile or two from overlook. contact me for info
also if you are on a k bike list or any other bmw list
please post this. i am sure the owner will appreciate
getting it back.
Thanks
Pat ""

I hope that the bag finds its rightful owner, "K11OG" member or not !

Best regards all.......// Ernie in NH

Another reason to follow Ted's advice and have your info in and on the bags...
