I used to buy oil change supplies from Chicago BMW but I understand that they have closed or changed locations. What is the best source for filter, washers and gaskets for my K1100LT?

Its 2 degrees this morning and I'm thinking about riding. Weird.

Stu

Hello!

You can always ask for those parts at your local BMW dealer, yet the price will be a bit higher ( o-ring is cheap any way). On line you can try Motorworks or Motobins they do international shipping. Or try in auto shop ask for Mahle-Kneht OC91 oil filter, this is OEM, the same you will buy at BMW.

Best regards,

Anymore, my "local" dealer is >100 miles away.

I'll give motorworks a call.

Hi, Stu,
A couple of years ago I found a guy selling Mahle OC-91 oil filters. His ad was in the BMW Owners News. They were $10 each or 5 for $40 plus shipping. He sent me 10 for just over $85. They are the filter only - no "O" ring nor gaskets. His e-mail is mrmrsp191@aol.com. The OC-91 is the OEM filter, just without the BMW logo or price.

I've bought from them before and have been happy with their service.

Countryside BMW has sort of replaced Chicago BMW. I have been happy with their service and they will discount things a bit. You might want to Google them.

Goshen, nice town, I pick up a lot of buses from the local factories.
