Hi...just wanted to share this with you, as if you don't already know being the k owners that you are.
As you all know, the weather in the UK has been very nice to us for the past week. Due to this, my friend and I decided for a blast to Skegness setting off teatime just for an evenings run. Fish n Chips, a light drink at the ship and a return ride back to Notts.
I have my 19 yr old brick with an extra tall after market screen, which comes in so useful me being some 6 feet tall and sitting quite high up on the seat.
My friend has a lovely ZZR 1100 with short little oh so nice screen no covering him at all.
Off we go, but not too far down the road, well some 30 mls or so, I see him indicate and pull over, as do I to see what for. To my amazment he is removing his helmet and wiping a multitude of flies from his visor...lol, he quotes " I can't see a damn thing" my visor at this point is fly free as my flies are caught nicely on my new screen.
After removing his flies, we set off again. Another 15 mls ish down road, we perform a replica yet again. This happened 3 times in 60 mls for him and not me. I removed mine from my new screen at our destination point which didn't cause me a problem, I didn't have 1 fly on my visor, how good is that??
Also his jacket mainly around the shoulder area was splattered well too. Again nothing whats so ever on me.
What a pleasure it is to be riding a K with the most ever protection I have ever experienced. The last bike I owned was a nice FJR, good protection but still nothing like my old K. Owned a Gold Wing a few years ago which was good, but IMHO no better than the K
On our return journey from Skeg, we went through the multiple stops to repeat the same, addmitidley, there were quite some flies species around with the hot days we've had just lately.
A pure pleasure to be well covered up from stuff otherwise hitting you in the visor...
Great riding to you all...
Jon

As the saying goes "No flies on me!" and the correct reply is "Don't blame them either...".
