Oh-oh......
I have been having shifting issues so once I crack it open I'll have a better idea whats going on. The transmission fluid was green, dark and milky looking.
Crap.......

Don't remember but its been awhile. I have lost track of my maintenance as of late. I have been having shifting problems and have ground a gear now and then. I know the shift lever is the cause of that. I am going to crack it open this weekend and get a better idea as to whats happening. |

Actually those are very small particles, it does look like a lot but I would honestly just refill and put a few hundred miles on it and recheck. If you've been having trouble shifting those shavings are probably just from banging the gears. Might be time to break it down for a spline lube but I don't think I'd tear into the tranny. I've seen alot worse in my 25yrs of turning wrenches. _________________ 95 K1100LT Current ride

| My plan is to fix the shifting issue (which I can't shift now) and then inspect what I can and make a determination at that time. I think the shavings are from my shifting issue made by me and no other internal issues. But can't make that determination unless I crack it open. I have to do that anyway to fix it. |
