My new (to me) '94 K1100LT ABS needs a touch up and there’s no color code sticker that I can find. Here's a pix

Looks like Color Rite http://www.colorrite.com/ doesn't list any paint for this old of a bike but my color may match the color of a newer BMW. If any of you could give me the name or code of my color I would appreciate it.
Thanks, De Smile

I'm pretty sure that your K is the same colour as mine. It's a metallic which doesn't show up too well on photographs. I think it's Mystic Red. BMW code 689

If it is Mystic Red Met, someone posted a picture 2 years ago of a Diamont R-M quart paint can BMW 323 with a Finish Master #221-3361. I kept the picture because I might repaint my LT.

Further research reveals that BMW code 689 refers to the colour scheme not the actual paint colour. The 689 code actually uses the paint - mystic red code no.323 - with a clearcote on top. Have a look at http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/paintcodes.htm. which explains more.
Hope this helps.

Hi Number 6.
Sorry, I hadn't realised I was doubling up on the link.
