I have just had fitted a Dunlop on the front of my K1100rs, now the rear needs doing and my dealer can't get the Dunlop, someone recommended a Metzeler M8, my dealer said the mix will be fine but I've never done this always sticking to a matched pair. Is it ok do you think? _________________ Riding a 1995 Marakesh red K1100rs

Yay, a tyre thread, we don;t have enough of these
I have a pirelli PR2 on the front and a metzeler of some sort on the back, feels as good as when I had a matched pair but then I'm no Casey Stoner.....
Can't see why it would be a problem. _________________ K1100RS '97

I have PR2 Front & Avon Azaro rear. Turns in a bit quicker than the previous Bridgestones (BT45). But that's more IMHO to do with bias belted versus radials. One can only trust ones dealer, but it is hard to be rational, when one can get two car tyres for the same price as one bike rear. _________________ Regards Tim,
