Hello,,,just bought a K1200GT SE 2006,,,it has a warning of brake failure flashing,,,,does anyone know of a good mechanic capable of sorting this problem out ????????,,,any info will be greatly appreciated,,,

I'm guessing that when you turn the ignition on the brake warning light stays on the fast flashing mode and isn't completing the self test and going to slow flash. If so look at the front and rear brake micro switches . If either one of these is stuck on the system reads the condition as brake on and won't complete the self test function. The rear brake micro seems to be prone to sticking ( took me a few hours to sort out the first time it happened on mine) good luck.
