The Remus looks great!

Do they still offer a choice of 2 different mufflers?

I think in America (Wunderlich USA), one can choose from aluminum and titanium. From the place I ordered, aluminum was the only option.

Any ideas of its purpose? Double ground?

It isn't any ground at the ignition switch, the violet wire is for radio, map light ++ (LT).

Thanks for the info, Inge.

The freshly painted frame has now been reinstalled.

Likewise, I have "new" forks with fork boots and no leaking fork seals.

Tomorrow the radiator/cooling system.

I'm still exploring headlight alternatives and am looking for quick connectors for attaching the K1200RS instrument panel to the old wiring harness.

All the wires seem to match up perfectly, but I would rather have a new quick disconnect versus connecting the wires directly. I found the supplier for BMW connectors, but I doubt they will sell me only two!

Next week, I will order a new handlebar.

I've decided not to install clip-ons.

I don't see the point of attaching them on top of the triple clamp, and under the triple clamp will likely be uncomfortable considering the height of the gas tank.

I need the bars in place so I can approximate the length of the braided brake hoses. I plan on running two directly from the master cylinder to the calipers - no Y connector. I figure Galfer is the best source.

Personally, I really like the matt black frame contrasting the shiny black engine pieces.

Been away for a while - ill health, etc.

Just catching up on old threads.

Here's one alterantive to a Remus - I had a stainless steel collector made up [ £90 ] and an as new st.st.silencer from E-Bay £50. VERY nice noise!

The bike is shown in mock up over a year ago - has now got K1100 forks, 5 spoke K1200 wheels, 4 pot Brembos. Just catching up on final detailing prior to strip and paint,

Also - a solution for the fuggly airbox - you don't need it !!!!

That's awesome, thinking of what I can do with my K11 now that it owes me nothing..

Have a look at this exhaust, oh and the rest of it of course... just add knobby tyres.
