So here is my R-GS project.

The only original R parts left are the frame, forks, tank, seats, front fender, wheels and side fairing pieces.
The clearance is raised, wheel base shortened and GS shocks are installed.

I might change wheels out if I find them at a descent price.

The bike handles great. I shortened up the wheelbase by using the R1100gs torque arm. The torque arm on the gs is shorter than on the r so it pulls the tire in and down giving the bike about an inch and a half shorter wheelbase and giving it a some more height and clearance.

Nicely done Rich. An "adventure bike"

I would imagine that you have a considerable amount of unpaved roads plus lots of trails near you.

Hey John,

Yeah there are a lot of paths off the beaten highway that I would like to go down. Once I to through the PR2s I will put on some dual sport tires and get out to some rougher areas.
