So my mate Jonny has had this Duc 900SS rotting under his house for 10 years since it was last ridden. I couldn't stand watching it get worse so I dragged it over my place to sort out. Needs a major clean up and the brakes are stuffed. Managed to get 4 of the 6 pistons out, still working on the other 2. There's a leak in the fibreglass petrol tank left rear seam so will probably do a Caswells seal on it. Rear master cylinder is stuffed.
Unfortunately I'm not actually buying it, wouldn't mind!
The owner contemplates the criminal negligence he is guilty of......
The brakes are a mess but fixable:-
Awesome tool board hey:-

Looks like a fun little cleanup project.
I'm betting the carburetors are "knackered" too!
I must say, the exhaust pipe routing would not work for me. I don't particularly care for burnt legs.
Very cool tool board. It needs a much larger hammer, though

Personally I wouldn't work on it if it is not mine. If he wants help and is going to ride it, that is fine. While he is there with you and you are "helping". But all that labor when he has shown himself to be grossly negligent just seems to be wasted effort. Especially if you get it going well he certainly will not sell it to you. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Thanks John and that would be the case for anybody else but he's been my best friend since we were 10 ie 45 years so this is my chance to pay him back for some stuff he's done for me over the years! It's all good _________________ K1100RS '97
