I have a K1100 LT and would like to be able to share the Rear Top Luggage Case with another Bike, so before I go out and drop the $ on a new rear rack and another make of case, has anyone ever did his? or is there some one that makes a mount to be installed on a different bike like a Givi mount.

This could be wishful thinking.

You could remove the stock rack on your LT and replace it with the Givi E180 or E181. (Same rack with Aluminum / Plastic plates respectively) They would require you to drill four holes into the tail cowl where the smaller factory rack for the 22L topcase mounts on the K1100RS and older Ks.

These plates would allow you to use any Givi Monokey case, which could easily be shared with other bikes. I think the mount kits sell for about $85-95 USD.

Hope this helps.

Niemand;

Actually what I want to do is the reverse, I want to mount the BMW Bag on the back rack of my Kawasaki Concours 1400, it has a Kawasaki Top Bag right now but you can hardly get anything in it. I think the BMW bag is a lot nicer and stronger than the Givi.

Ahh...sorry. I've not seen anyone go that route. You do have the option of looking into the other BMW models that shared the 35L box. (2 or 3 at least if I recall) Perhaps one is close enough to the Concours to cobble up an adapter of sorts.

I took a gs mount and bolted it to the top of my k1200rs tail rack and mounted a 35lt trunk to it. I sold the bike but I still have the mounting plate. That might work if you can mount it to the rear rack on the Concours.
