Does anyone know if there is a direct replacement Clarion radio/CD player available to fit the K1100LT SE? Tapes are a bit dated now!
Can an iPod be plugged into the original radio cassette player?

Well, I can't say as I have heard of any "direct drop-in" replacement.
Though, others have replaced the unit with some "marine" units that will have a weatherproof remote.

I use a dummy cassette with wires to a 3.5mm jack, if they are still available.
CD's don't work on their edge due to road vibration. MP3's or smartphones are the way.

Dick smith use to sell the adapters in Australia and I thin one of my suppliers still has them.if you cannot find one let me know

I put a Pioneer DEH 3900 in my K with a marine remote and it plays fine vertical and was not that hard of a retrofit.
