Found a complete '87 k75s for a good price...it had been neglected, but with low 39k miles and complete condition...

Took it down to the frame and block..rebuilt the entire intake system, injection system and added SS bolt kit, SS brake lines..

After 100 hours of work....I put an RS 2.81 final on it. Really takes the buzz out of highway riding...Had an Fox shock hanging out in the shop that fit nicely too...I might keep this bike for a season...Of course my wife likes it a lot..Now if I could get it back from Ken!!

I have an Epco pipe on order...I think the stock pipe is tragic!

Had some time to take the BCR to Asheville...

Nice. My first BMW was a 90 K75S, red with a belly pan. Nice and very smooth, but when I rode the K1100RS I was ready to trade. Not as smooth but more power.

I took the K75s on a good 1100 mile shake down at the end of October. The baby K bike is a great little underpowered bike. I averaged about 50 miles a gallon.

Blue Ridge Parkway at its higest evelavtion.

Looks great. Nice restoration.

But does it create much less heat compared to a 4 cylinder brick?

John, it puts off very little heat...thats one reason to keep it, being in the south, the 4 cyl bricks are hot as hell to ride in the summer..Of course, riding the parkway in October i needed a bit more winter gear.

I also put a K100RS 2.81 final drive on it...its really a nice gearing for it, the 3cyl isnt as buzzy as the 4cyl either..but then again it doesnt have the punch the 180deg crank 4 cyl has...
