My turn on the exhaust leak, who knows a good shop that can weld stainless?

Most any decent welding shop will have TIG equipment which will weld nicely on thin SS. I've had SS exhaust muffs on aircraft welded which are made of about the same thickness of SS successfully.

It's not just the TIG it's also who handles it and can also reinforce it, not just weld if possible (otherwise it'll break again).

True, however most people who have a welding shop are competent. I had an exhaust system fabricated out of thin SS on a Commonwealth Skyranger that I was restoring. The shop did a fine job of TIG welding the pieces together. I sold the airplane with about 150 hours total time on the new exhaust system with no cracking or other problems.

This is what a guy in France does and none of the reinforced exhausted ever leaked again:
