Hello all, I am planning on replacing the fuel lines on my 93 as they are all showing some dry rot type cracking. Questions:

What size do I need?

How much do I need (length)?

Which line is best recommended?

Best sources for purchase?

Thanks!

If you won't to replace the hoses in the same positions you will have to buy original items due to the right hand bends required. COST!
I went to my local motor car spare parts supplier & bought a 3 meter length of 5/16" 7.9m fuel injection line which had a higher working pressure rating then required. Look the specs up.
The only requirement then was to feed the hose from point to point even if in a longer length.
I also use different hose clamps that have a 4mm bolt in them. Bought from the same place as the fuel hose.
All up cost around $30.00.

Hope that helps you & saves you money.

I don't use the OEM lines with the funky angles. I'm using Gates 5/16" (7.9mm) FI-rated line on 6 of my K bikes right now: 3 K1100s, 2 K75s and a K100. They don't seem to mind generic fuel line at all.

Since that right angle off of the fuel tank is where the lines usually crack, I figure I'm better off w/o it.

You need about 44" so you'll need to buy 4 feet. Make sure that you buy the FI-rated stuff.

You'll also need two 13mm hose clamps for the fuel pressure regulator since the factory used Oetiker clamps. Part 13311460928 - about $2 each at a dealer.
