Hello, after some time!

Today I was taking off the rear wheel form the bike - RS. I was barely able to pull out the wheel. Tire was very tight between swing arm and exhaust pipe. In the Autumn I had a small crash on left hand side. And I am wonder if exhaust pipe or its mount could be bended as an effect of the fall?

Best regards

I seem to recall other RS owners having issues with tires on/off clearances.
I you say you had a left side "bump" I suppose it's possible that it could have tweaked the exhaust "chrome heat shield" that is now giving you issues.

I have a 93 RS,,I had to let the air out of my rear tire to remove the wheel then let the air out of the new tire to put the wheel back on,, they fit snug,,

Ok seems to be a common situation, and I did let the air out Wink.

Best regards

Rafal,

What rear tire are you using?

On my RS with a Michelin Pilot Road 3, I need to let the air out AND use some soapy water on both sides of the tire. Then I have to wiggle it side to side while pulling rearward.

Yours sounds normal..

John

It used to be Bridgestone BT 21 now it is going to be Metzeler Roadtec z6 (made in China *^*#&%543642576#& !! ). Standard size 160/60 R18.

Best regards,

Get an aftermarket exhaust like a Staintune or Remus. Two bolts and the exhaust can is off.

I just pulled mine off today and definitely VERY tight snug, never thought of deflating tire, not fast not fast.
