Can anyone give me some hints on what may have caused my speedo to quit? Last ride it was working fine, I parked the bike for the last few weeks due to our cold weather here in Spokane Wa. I fixed the wires to the windshield and grip warmer switch as i broke them last year replacing a clutch cable. As i said, it was working last time i rode it a few weeks ago.. Any help if very much appreciated.

I've had the speedometer quit on my K100LT several times in the 23 years that I have owned it. It has always been the connector coming up from the speed sensor on the final drive. It usually happens after I ride in the rain. I can usually just unplug and replug the connector and it will start working.

I have been using CRC 5.56 on a cotton bud stick over the males and into the females.
With my 124,000 klm bike it does it most times on long trips with constant dull speeds.

K100lt, Where is that connector? I pulled out the sensor on the final drive thinking that is what you were talking about, but obviously its not, could it possibly be that speed sensor that went out??

Thanks
