Well its happened after 20+ years of not having a bike I have finally bought my 1st BMW, from a Ducati 750SS to my K1100rs and I love it, very different from the Duke, but still makes the adrenalin flow!! I am learning day by day about these wonderful bricks and having fun doing it.

...Looks like some super custom heat shielding near engine/frame. Notice your forks have no 'protection'...many brickers use some type. The fork seals on these machines are particularly susceptible to bug guts, etc., and a pain to change out. Enjoy the ride, these things have power surge starting 4000-5000 rpm that is pretty good, and the engine smooths out even higher rpm's, and gets quiet almost... _________________ 1997 K1100LT-SE
