|
|
Hi all,
My speedo has developed an intermittent fault whereby it reads very low then, sometimes by itself, sometimes after I have stopped, climbs back to the correct speed. Yesterday afternoon it read 30mph for a while then gradually climbed up to the true speed of 70mph. Other times it works perfectly!
I'm in the dark with electronic speedos. Where should I begin to look?
Thanks,

There is a connector up from the speed sensor on the rear drive that could be causing your problem. My K100LT has done the same thing over the 23 years that I have owned it on occasion. Usually just re-seating the connector has corrected mine. _________________ 2004 R1150RT 186,800 miles

I've never seen this on my K-Bike...but just recently I had something similar happen on my Boxer Cup Replica...it was doing sort of a pee-pee dance...turned out to be a bad ground at the connector under the seat from the sensor on the final drive. _________________ '20 R1250RS - The RS

my k1100 rs 1993 do the same thing with the speedo and the rev counter. But it is random.
For you, It's not a problem caused by an badly elettrical regulation ?
