| Hi guys and gals, I am a newbee to this site. I have a new to me k1100lt. I had to do some work on it, new front brake lines, oil change, battery, etc. Bike started and ran great. When I was finished today, I shut the ignition off, and turned the handlebars. It locked, and now I dont seem to be able to unlock it..I really feel dumb, but am I missing something? Thanks, Rich |

Rich - wiggle the bars a little as you turn the key toward the unlock position.
There's OFF, and then there is LOCK - and I think past that, the ignition switch turns on your parking lights. _________________ Jim

If the "lock" hasn't been used for a long time, it can get bound up with crud and grime and give you some grief.....
Like Jim mentioned, work it carefully. Try to avoid any liquid lubricants(that aren't made specifically for using in lock tumblers) like WD40 or 3-in-1 oil, as they will just attract more dirt and make it worse in the long run.....
Tri-Flow is a good one that our locksmiths use at work. _________________ Ride safe.
