Gentlemen-
Is it possible to fit a K1200 engine into the frame of a K100 or K1100? I'm toying with the idea, and have read that this has been done before.
Any ideas?

I think it was done at ADVRider some years ago, here is a ongoing project.

Yep, it's been done.
Drake had one that he bought from the east coast, and I think he's since sold it as well.

Allen Nelson, who used to hang out on this board, put a 1200 engine in an 1100 RS (I think it was an RS) - if I remember correctly...
