Taking luggage apart for paint, and on the top case when I heated it to pop the emblem off, it came off but with some of the paint. It seems the luggage cases are plastic and have a coating on them? Or is it the paint peeling off the plastic? Has anyone ever repainted the top case and side bags?

It seems like I could peel the pain of in pieces or sheets?

The catcher which are riveted on are $24 each, or $100 for all four. I may buy a small drill press and try to drill out the old rivets and pop rivet the old ones back on.

MAX has the emblems, seals, and bumpers all in stock.

I've had mine painted - in 2010 - and they'll be painted again from the hit and run...

It's actually good that the backs off the roundels are painted. When I redid the cases for my RS in truck bed liner, I repainted the backs of the blue part with red so that they now have red roundels to match the bike color.
