Did one before but with great difficulty.
Why the heck did they use a rigid wire instead of flex.
Thinking of extending them wirh flexible wiring.

And how do you pop them out please??

Didn't know what to search for.😯

Still a few questions though.
Extending the wires - good idea??
If I want to take of switch pad how do I "open" plastic rivets without damaging them??

Hi Al,

If you have an LT, the dashpad is clipped to the handlebar. It's been awhile since I've seen my LT - and the K75 is in the shop, too. You don't have to do anything with plastic rivets - if memory serves me. Honestly can't remember if there are any screws - but if there are, only a couple. Should just lift off - look underneath.

My LT has two screws above the tank that holds the entire plastic dash on the handlebar mounts. With the screws out is kind of snaps up. You can then unplug the switches and squeeze tabs top and bottom and the switches will come out of the mount.

As far as opening the switches? See Duck's writeup.
