Gidday Folks,

What is good weight for fork oil on a K1100RS with what I think are still original springs. (70,000kms) Folks oils have been changed by the PO but I'm not sure with what weight oil.

Rear shocker, what is the original setting as a starting guide, yes it is still original and but want to upgrade soon as I have heard that this is a good mod for these bikes..

Any info would be great at this stage..

Grant,

have you still got the LT that I sold you the Racetech fork springs for?
Do the same for the RS. A Ohlins or Wilburs on the back is your best bet. They come up for sale used occasionally. They are $$$ new! I suggest starting with 10 weight and see how you go. Adding an additional 10 or 15cc of fork oil isn't a bad idea (in my experience with the roads here in Oz).

cheers,

Andrew

PS: I haven't forgotten about your PM, but I've had my hands full dealing with a tree through my lounge room ceiling. A side effect of the mini cyclone we had here last Sunday.

Gidday Andrew,

No the LT is gone and yes the racetech fork springs worked very well, certainly made a difference mate.

I will just keep watching for a shocker to pop up somewhere, I'm in no great hurry but always looking to improve things.

No hurry either with the PM subject and yes get that tree out of your house asap Smile Chat soon
