It is not uncommon for the fuel pump on these bikes to make a whining sound, it is even louder when the tank is low on fuel.
They have had a knick name in the past of being "k"whiners..... _________________ Ride safe.

Scott is right on about the fuel pump.
The paint on your bike (if it is original from the factory) is "Glasurit". Perhaps you might contact a local autobody repair shop to see if they could obtain a small touch up quantity.
Alternately (as I have) take one of the side battery covers and see if the autobody shop can closely match the color. _________________ John & Cathy
