I Finally got the upgraded drive shaft back from Munich Motorcycles with greaseable Uni joints, after installing it I went to take the bike for a test ride, when i hit the starter there was an electrical short/arcing noise and now I don't have any electrics, the only thing that is showing power is the LCD clock, although when I turn the key on even it goes out and resets itself when I turn the key off.
So no instrument or head/tail light, horn etc, It has a new battery, I have 12 Volts to the starter relay, I pulled the starter relay apart and no sign that it is fused or burnt out and none of the fuses are blown, I have swapped out the delay relay for horn relay, and it made no difference, the starter button doesn't seem to come all the way out but that might just be how it's always been.
Any advise?
Cheers

Sounds like you have a bad connection that won't pass a high current load.
Double check the main power connections both at the battery and the grounds on the engine that they are clean and tight.
If all of the connections are good, check the battery voltage at the battery terminals both with the key on and key off.
It is possible the battery could have failed internally, not likely but possible. _________________ Ride safe.

Hi Scott,
Your 100% on the mark, it is the new battery, I thought being new I'd try the other things these bikes have quirks with.
Diagnosis on the battery took about 5 minutes, the work I did last night ignoring the NEW battery took about 4 hours.
Cheers
