I have an alternator which came off a 'K' series bike, possibly an early K100 but I am not certain.

As far as I know it is still working (It was when it was removed from the K bike) but has not been fitted to a bike for many years, is there an easy way of checking to see if it is still producing power without finding a K75/K100 and bolting the thing on.

It has been in dry storage for at least 14 years, the rotor turn freely and the bearings sound sweet.

You could check to see if any of your area motor parts shops test them.
I know here in the states some of our parts stores will offer alternator/starter testing in the store.

Yeah, but I think those are made to test belt-driven alternators where the K alternators are "cup" driven.
