Got the 96 K1100RS back together and started her up. Right off she is idling high, 3k. Disconnected the battery and then connected it again and did the "turn the throttle slowly" with the ignition on. Still high. Disconnecting the battery clears the faults. Still high. I didn't mess with any setting when she was apart. Any ideas ladies and gentlemen? _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

Easiest answer is the cable's hanging up. But what all did you have apart? _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Throttle bodies were off as one piece. Cables were not disconnected. Throttle bases (rubber parts) were changed. Head was off. Obviously the tank was off. Airbox assembly was off. I am going to try and reset the Motronic again and check the TPS. And check the cables and adjustment screws. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

Well that was easy. Found the choke cable not returning. Wish everything was that simple! _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
