There is a 1995 K1100LT listed on my local Craigs list. http://reno.craigslist.org/mcy/618037179.html
I currantly ride a '93 LT with 70,000 miles. I just rebuilt the 35 amp alternator and put new fork seals in it. Now it needs a rear main seal and a clutch.
The '95 has 22,000 miles. That is as good as new in my book.
I know that the '95 has a 70 amp alternator. Other then that, are there any differences that would make the '95 a worthy upgrade?
Or are they exactly the same and I would be trading a known bike for the unknown problems of the lower milage bike? _________________ '04 WR450f

FYI: It's a 50 amp alternator. You can upgrade a 93 - it's pretty straightforward. I needed it to power my driving lamps as the 33A unit didn't have enough juice.
The other major difference is that the 94+ K1100 have ABS II while 93 and earlier have ABS I. Spline lubes are much less complicated on the earlier bikes because of this.
I think ABS I is easier to bleed as well. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hi, Chris,
Were the bike in my area, I'd be on it like stink on sh*t! The K75 is nice, but for long distance touring (like the upcoming ride from El Paso to Hungry Mother State Park in Virginia), the K1100LT would be better. I'm looking for a nice, low mileage, '95 K75RT, but so far I haven't connected with one. I thought I'd scored a '94 K1100LT, but someone bid $50 more at the last second. Oh, well, there will be others.
