My dad in Rancho Mirage is having some surgery next week so I'm heading south to go help him out. Since the LT hasn't been out for a good long ride lately, I plan to take that bike.
Saturday - Lots of I-5 slab and rain and then the Redwood Highway to Eureka. UHG - but at least I'll get the crappy riding out of the way first.
Sunday - Supposed to be nice weather - this will be the best day. the Avenue of The Giants and the northern part of Hwy 1 down to SF - two of my very favorite roads.
Monday - Hwy 1 south from Carmel and then 58 over to Bakersfield- another great day.
Best of all, I'll get to lane-split again. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

you should be fairly safe if its cloudy...
but when the sun comes out you better be prepared to go on intuition...
cause you aints gonna see ch1t with that chrome gas lid reflecting all that sun into your eyeballs...

I've recently added a smoked windscreen - just to reduce the glare from my bitchin' new gas cap. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I've ridden the coast so many times I'll have to work hard to find some new shots.
Take a look here if you like touring pics:

I'll be heading back to South San Jose from Calistoga on Sunday, if I see a green LT, I'll honk. I'll be on my black and silver LT.
I love the section of 1 where it heads away from Avenue of the Giants to the coast from Legget. _________________ M N B

Wanna try to hook up on the coast? I"m game.

It's better heading up to Legget from the coast - less chance of flying off a turn since it's uphill. Hell, the whole of Hwy 1 north of SF is a gas!
The first time I rode that stretch was heading down from Leggett late at night. It was so dark in the trees there that all I could really see was the reflectors outlining the road - kind of a surreal experience. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
