To all are UK members, have a trip planned to the Yorkshiredales in May. Will be in England 17 til 21, Sunday 18 May plan on being at Kirby Lonsdale. If anyone is in the area would like to meet you. If anyone knows any good biker pubs to see would also like to hear it. The sad thing is this year will not be on the K1100RS, will be testing the R1150RT.

Hope you have a really great time - I'm sure some of the local members will pipe up soon. I'm "down south" so unable to meet up. You could also try another forum which is UK orientated and covers all Beemers: http://www.bmbikes.org.uk/Forum/

Thanks for the link, took a quick look. Looks like good site, and for some things closer to home. And having two beemers I've got to fit in somewhere. Thanks again.

Also try the Wrynose & Hardknotts passes, from little Langdale to Boot in the Lake District if 1 in 4 hills & tight turns excite. As you are in Kirby Lonsdale, a visit to Devils Bridge on the Sunday will find you among 100's of bikers, or is that your plan?

Re sheep, the advice I was given, was to aim towards the back end when passing them. seemed odd but it worked.

I have just got back from Yorkshire and you have to check out the Penny Garth Cafe. A great riding area. Check out the web site. Cheers, Scouse

Thanks for the tip, I will definitly check it out. The towns name 'Hawes' sounds familar.

Only 3 more work days (May 5,6,7) then it's riding time!. First 4 nights into Germany heading for the Black Forrest with about 8 other bikes, home long enough to change shorts, repack and off to England for a week.

Pictures to follow from both trips, even if only one is on the K/RS.

Thought I would mention that market day in Hawes is Tuesday and you must try the Stilton blue cheese.
The road from Kirby lonsdale to Hawes across the Dales is a bit of a race track with all kind of warning signs about racing and death so be carfull and ride safe. Good luck Bob
