Hi folks again - almost finished my project of converting my K1100RS into a K1100R.
Mirrors!
What size mirror stems fit into the handlebar mounts - I think the RHS is a 8mm thread, but the other side doesnt have thread?
One would assume that the mirrors from the K100, K75S/C etc would fit in there (being similar vintage, and I think they all use the same clutch/master cylinder mounts)
Could I have some help here - do I buy ex-K100/75 items or will generic aftermarket parts fit?
Thanks muchly - btw, I have finished installing a single seat conversion from an ex-police bike, and will post a few pics this weekend if anyone is interested. |

K75/K100 mirrors will fit, but with the narrow width of the RS bars you will see a lot of your shoulder and they might hit the RS fairing. I'd look for after market ones that stick out to the sides a bit further - if your "K11R" has a different or modified fairing hitting the windscreen uprights might not be an issue. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks Flying Duck - I will be putting a wider bar on the K11R, probably a Renthal or similar (I need new front brake lines anyway) to complete the naked look, and there is no fairing up front, just a headlight.
I wonder also if the /6 and /7 mirrors fit, or even early Oilheads? I see a lot of them around is all.
Local BM shop has quoted me $75 each (AUD - around $77USD) for new ones . |

Sorry if you posted one before, but I'd dearly love to see a picture of this baby _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |
